Description:
Dominic Regennon, the legendary Slayer who killed a dragon for the first time in a thousand years and ended a devastating war, is appointed as the escort knight of Adelheid, the king’s controversial concubine, instead of receiving the rewards he deserves. Adelheid is a princess of a fallen kingdom destroyed by the very king she now serves, and all her former escort knights were punished for allegedly falling in love with her. Convinced that she is vulgar and undeserving of love, Dominic keeps his distance. However, as he spends more time with her, his perceptions begin to change. The more he learns about Adelheid, the more his beliefs are challenged, until the woman he once despised becomes someone he would willingly give everything to protect and love.
